Jason Filiatrault is a passionate writer of feature film, television, and awkward birthday cards. His credits include writing and co-producing on two seasons of the cult Netflix drama THE ORDER, the award-winning feature film ENTANGLEMENT (WGC Best Screenplay 2018), genre fave A CHRISTMAS HORROR STORY, APTN drama TRIBAL, CTV comedy JANN, and the CBC series YOUNG DRUNK PUNK. Jason currently has projects in development with Copperheart Entertainment (Ginger Snaps, The Peripheral), “Letterkenny” producers New Metric Media, and “Jackass” director Jeff Tremaine. In addition to writing, Jason recently made the leap to directing with his upcoming film, “Now, I Am A Bear.”
Jason has attended the Whistler Screenwiters Lab (2024), the Torino Film Lab (2023), the TIFF Writers’ Studio (2021), Sundance Institute (2023), the Canadian Film Centre (2018 & 2010), the National Screen Institute (2013), and was chosen for PLAYBACK MAGAZINE’s annual “5 TO WATCH” list highlighting the best up-and-coming media talent in the country. Along with his Writers Guild Award, Jason has also won an AMPIA Award for his web series BUNNY HUG and a Shorty Award for his parody Twitter account, @SarcasticRover.
Jason lives in Calgary, Alberta. He is represented in Canada by The Jennifer Hollyer Agency and The Gersh Agency in the USA.
