In what can only be described as a pretty awesome surprise, Jason Filiatrault took home the award for Best Feature Screenplay for "Entanglement" at the 2018 Writers Guild of Canada Awards! Beating out highly praised films such as "The Man Who Invented Christmas" and "Indian Horse" – Filiatrault's script for Entanglement went home with the top prize, following a fairly rambling and incoherent speech by the shocked and unprepared writer.

Other winners that night included Sarah Polley for the mini-series "Alias Grace" and Aubrey Nealon for the hour long police drama "Cardinal."

The WGC Awards are held every year in Toronto, and celebrate the best in film and television writing as chosen by the members of the guild - making it the best of all writing awards, according to Filiatrault, who is definitely biased.

Entanglement was released in February across North America, and is available now on iTunes or wherever digital movies get sold. Probably the internet.

Filiatrault is currently writing on the Netflix drama "The Order" which will debut in 2019.
